The Syndicate A1 Contines to Dominate
Since the A1s introduction in mid 2008, the ski has continued to take titles and chalk up records. Will Asher won 11 of the 12 events he entered in 2008 on his A1 and looking back at the results from our team in 2009, we know the A1 is the real deal.
In 2009, April Coble rode the A1 to an Open Women’s Title at the Nationals, setting a new Women’s 3 record!
At the Canadian Waterski Championships, Bree Wagner and her A1 won Gold in both Elite and Open Women’s Slalom divisions.
Syndicate’s JR phenom, KC Wilson, rode his A1 to the top of 5 podiums in 2009 including the Jr. Masters, Jr. US Open, US Nationals, SE Regionals and the Florida State Overall title.
Will Asher backed up his dominating 2008 season by again taking the coveted Masters Championship and his second World Title at the 2009/2010 World Championships. The 2009 Pro Shootout and Global Invitational were also topped by Will taking the titles at both events.
The Face to Face Tour hit the road in 2009 with a purpose: cover more water (and more ground) than any other skier or ski company had before. How, you ask yourself? Well it’s simple. We just did it.
1 Peterbilt, 1 Syndicate A1 and 11,327 miles later: Mission Accomplished
These accomplishments are from only five of our athletes, but the A1 title list goes on and on. Regardless of what drives you to hit the water, the Syndicate team hopes that our skis help you achieve your personal best & keep you coming back for more!

Hyperlite’s Team Video Rewritten Wins Video of the Year
The 9th Annual Alliance Superlative Awards have been announced in the latest issue of Alliance Wakeboard Magazine. Up for grabs are some of the industries most prestigious awards including Rookie of the Year, Rider of the Year & Video of the Year. Hyperlite is honored that Chris Kallas received the 2009 Wakeskate Rookie of the Year award. His riding in Rewritten along with other video clips helped Chris earn this title just as he landed in Australia for the summer down under.
Speaking of Rewritten…How about Video of the Year and Video Section of the Year!
Both awards are well deserved so we feel and are a testament to the creativity and hard work that the producers, cinematographers & riders put into this film. Rewritten stepped way outside the box as far as wakeboard films go and this quote from FUEL TS’s Shon Tomlin, Vice President of Programming & Development says it all.
“We’re excited to have the opportunity to feature and broadcast Rewritten on FUEL TV. In my personal opinion, this film was the outstanding leader of all films released in 2009. It’s a prime example of your expertise in this space and your teams’ innovative approach to film making and most importantly, to making wakeboarding an exciting sport to watch. Rewritten is a prime example of pushing the level of cinematography, editing, and motion graphic design and execution.”
Hyperlite and A.V.E. have entered Rewritten into the X-Dance Action Sports Film Festival for 2010. Accepted films will be announced on December 15th and the big party goes down in Salt Lake City, January 21 – 26, we’ll keep our fingers crossed!
Hyperlite would like to thank the crew from A.V.E. and our Riders who came together to make Rewritten the Video of the Year! For more awards visit Alliancewake.com today and to get your copy of Rewritten, check out Hyperlite.com.

HO Skis and Hyperlite go to OWC!
For the past ten years, OWC has reigned as the premier Cable/Wake Park in the U.S. Located in Orlando, Florida at the epicenter of today’s Wakeboarding scene, OWC is the place to ride.
If you’ve been in the sport of Wakeboarding for more than five years, you’ll know that OWC was originally a Hyperlite stomping ground. HO Sports Company, Inc. and its brands, Hyperlite, HO Skis, Syndicate, Accurate & Byerly Boards, are excited to announce that once again that is the case, and we can say we’re home!
OWC is now the official home for Hyperlite Wakeboards & HO Skis! The scope of this relationship is huge. OWC will serve as our Demo Center, Research & Development Facility, Event Center and more. HO Sports Company, Inc. looks forward to hosting parties on the eve of Surf Expo once again.
Hyperlite and its affiliates will provide use of the latest demo gear for all OWC patrons. Hyperlite is the board of choice at OWC and HO will be the ski or wakeski of choice. OWC will have access to our wide array of products from wakeboards, bindings, life jackets, helmets, wakeskates & wakesurfers. HO & Syndicate will supply the latest in water skis and ski bindings, kneeboards as well as the new and exciting wakeskis.
Hyperlite & HO Skis will also play a key role in marketing OWC through its annual campaigns, dealer network and websites. The Hyperlite/HO team will make a presence at the wake park on a regular basis honing their skills on the cable. HO Sports Company, Inc. looks forward to hosting events at OWC adding to its calendar of A-List gatherings like Wake Games and the Pro Tour.
As the Cable/Wake Park phenomenon continues to explode, Hyperlite and HO are happily at home at OWC. With the wide variety of riders available on any given day, OWC is the perfect hotbed to test new products. Look for Hyperlite and HO to expand their product lines to suit the cable medium, taking input from our riders at the park and from our newly formed Hyperlite Cable Team, led by World Champion Nick Davies.
Rene Hofmann
“Needless to say we are very happy having HO and Hyperlite back at OWC. This partnership with HO Sports Company, Inc. will enhance the park for all who enjoy it, whether they are boarding, slalom or wakeskiing, kneeboarding, you name it. OWC is committed to delivering the best experience for our riders and our partnership with HO Sports Company, Inc. will only make that the best it can be.”
Greg Dick
“What can I say? We are all so excited to be home at OWC! Working closely with both OWC and Performance Ski & Surf will not only elevate our brands but push us to continue making the best boards, boots, skates, skis & surfers possible. Our athletes drive us and this partnership will do so even further while bringing great exposure to our brands as well as our new partners. It’s on!”
Nick Davies
“It’s Amazing to have OWC for a Hyperlite training ground for the boat and the cable. OWC is a well known name around the world! Every Cable Park I have been to knows it, which is great! The top riders ride there, making OWC the place to be for the next generation!”
Shaun Murray
“Cable riding has been gaining ground for quite a while now, and with Hyperlite and O-Dub joining forces, it’s going to a new level. Plus, I’m pretty pumped to spend more time there to ride and do more goofy stuff. You know that’s how I roll.”
Josh Palma
“I’m pumped that we have rekindled our partnership with OWC. Aside from spending more time riding at the park and enjoying the new obstacle setup, I’m also looking forward to gaining insight on our product from riders at OWC who are on Hyperlite gear.”

The All New HO Sports Syndicate S1 Slalom Water Ski
With much anticipation and a great marketing ad in the most recent Waterski Magazine HO Sports is Proud to present the all new HO Syndicate S1 Slalom Water Ski. Here is a picture direct from the HO Sports Factory.
The HO S1 Slalom Water Ski is the second totally new product out of the Syndicate Program initiative. The goal to create a super ski designed especially for 34 mph skiers. The S1 was the result of over one year of R&D by Bob LaPoint, Will Asher, and Wade Cox. It is not just a softer flex version of the A1.
The HO S1 Slalom Water Ski is a blend of the front portion of the new HO A1 and the narrow tail similar to an HO Monza. The result is a ski that initiates a turn similar to the HO A1 but finishes more like a Monza. The S1 has been pictured in magazines in other web sites in a brownish color. The HO S1 Slalom Water Ski pictured here is actually the finish of the production version. Preorder now for delivery in the last week of May or first week of June.
